The house construction is a combination of block and frame. The structure was completely renovated as well, enhancing the integrity and the insulation of the walls. Generally there are pressure treated 2×6 with a steel mesh system attached that has solid foils backed foam insulation on one side, then metal studs and drywall. On the exterior side of the wall, there is 2” of solid concrete that is applied over the steel mesh that forms the “shell” this is then covered by an additional 2” of foam and stucco for the final coat. Overall an exceptionally strong frame and extremely good for the climate and storm resiliency.

The roof was also completely redone, the old roof was removed and replaced, upgrading the hurricane strapping and new waterproofing.
